An enchanting

natural scenery.

Gallura

La Gallura è un luogo magico, un angolo di Sardegna tra le colline di granito e lo splendido mare della Costa Smeralda.

Gallura is limited to the west by the Coghinas river, to the south by Mount Limbara and to the south-east by Mount Nieddu, up to the municipality of Budoni where Punta Ottiolu acts as a limit. Sant'Antonio di Gallura is a town located on the hills of Gallura, halfway between Olbia and Tempio Pausania. The population is around 1,500 inhabitants, but there are many more tourists who visit this little paradise during their holidays, because they know that here you can find something new every day: from the Vermentino grape vineyards along Lake Liscia to Mount Limbara, which offers a breathtaking view of the north-eastern coast of Sardinia or, better yet, routes that cross panoramic coastal areas rich in vegetation.

Mount Limbara

Un paesaggio suggestivo, caratterizzato dai graniti che originano una morfologia accidentata e molto movimentata.

Mount Limbara is the main peak of the mountain massif of the same name located in north-eastern Sardinia. Located in the municipalities of Tempio Pausania, Calangianus, Oschiri, Berchidda, of granite nature, it represents the border between the historical and geographical regions of Gallura to the north and Logudoro to the south. Characterized by modeled peaks, in the past it hosted a USAF radio base. Punta Balistreri, rises to an altitude of 1,359 meters above sea level.

Liscia Lake

Un piccolo paradiso turchese della Gallura.

Lake Liscia is an artificial lake in Gallura, in northern Sardinia, located between the municipalities of Sant'Antonio di Gallura, Luras, Arzachena, Calangianus and Luogosanto. It originates from the damming of the Liscia river and other smaller streams by means of a 69-meter-high lightened gravity dam, completed in 1962. The maximum capacity of the reservoir is 105 million m3, but this could only be effectively reached in 2004, when the structure was strengthened and static tested. The artificial lake guarantees the water supply of the entire lower Gallura, where, especially in the summer season, there is a strong demand for water due to the high concentration of tourists.
